Your heart is the place of your inner self, character, mind, and intentions. This place determines the course of your life. It is the place where your passion for transforming the educational system was ignited. Passionate educators, your heart must be guarded. Guard your heart against gossip, complaints, and negative conversations in the teachers’ lounge or during staff meetings. Guard your heart against the negative thoughts about students, teachers, and parents. Guard your heart from the distractions of challenging colleagues and other stakeholders. Guard your heart. Your heart and intestine must remain pure so that you can see God throughout this transformation process. You are God’s ambassador; therefore, He is where your heart should be.
Prayer:
Abba, Father, you are holy. Today, I guard my heart against all the impurities that come with engaging in the life of education. Keep my motives pure. Keep my heart aligned with your will. I guard my heart by meditating on your Word. I will keep my mind on you as I navigate through my day. Open the eyes of my heart so that I may see you clearly. Thank you, Father, for transforming this educational system. In Jesus’ name, amen.
