(Excerpt from “21 Day Prayer Challenge for Passionate Educators”
by Dr. Stephanie A. Harper)
“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”
Acts 20:24
“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadow-boxing.”
1 Corinthians 9:24
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge cloud of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
Hebrews 12:1
“I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.”
2 Timothy 4:7
Passionate educators, you have been disciplined in applying the principles of the kingdom in your school. You have accepted your assignment and have dedicated your life to fulfilling the mission of creating kingdom classrooms and schools. Finish your course with the intent to win. Take every step with purpose, keeping your eyes on Jesus. Purpose in your heart to remain faithful. You will receive an imperishable reward.
Prayer:
Dear Father, I honor you. My life is useless unless I use it to finish the assignment that you have given me. Father, I will discipline myself by laying aside every weight and distraction that will slow me down. My eyes will remain fixed on you. I know you have sent me to transform this school. Therefore, I have purposed in my heart to fight a good fight, and to finish this race. I will complete this race through your strength and power. Thank you, Father, for transforming this educational system. In Jesus’ name, amen.
