It’s amazing what a small act of kindness can do for a person. And how much more a student? What if you extended that to your colleagues and parents? Our goal is to transform the educational system and here are just a few examples of everyday things you can do to help bring that to pass!
Be kind to your students
Allow your students to have a few minutes to socialize.
Laugh at their jokes
Compliment their ideas
Post their beautiful artwork everywhere
Be kind to your teammates
Surprise your teammates with their favorite coffee before school
Take a break to talk to them at lunch time
Lend them a favorite new book
Offer to take their after-school duty
Be kind to your administrators and staff
Thank them for setting a positive atmosphere
Send your students to their office for positive reasons
Invite the principal to a special event in your classroom
Eliminate the eye rolling during meetings
Be kind to parents and families
Call a few parents to tell them how great their child did today
Invite family members to special classroom events
Thank you parents for volunteering
Email a happy note to one of your student’s more difficult families
