According to German psychologist, Herman Ebbinghaus, research shows forty-seven percent of forgetting occurs in the first twenty minutes of which information is presented. Sixty-two percent occurs within the first day, unless the information is applied immediately. Passionate educators, you understand your teaching is only effective if your students can apply the lesson to new situations or experiences. This principle is applicable to your spiritual life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher. He knows the heart of the Father. He will give you the strategies you need to transform this educational system. As you listen to Him, be prepared to immediately obey His instruction. Your faith requires actions.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank you for being my advocate and teacher. Open the eyes and ears of my heart so that I may understand the lessons and strategies that you are teaching. You have my undivided attention. I will obey your directions and immediately apply your instructions. Thank you for leading me as you transform this educational system. In Jesus’ name, amen.
