(Excerpt from “21 Day Prayer Challenge for Passionate Educators”
by Dr. Stephanie A. Harper)
“Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.”
2 Corinthians 4:7
“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.”
1 John 5:4
Passionate educators are focused and single-hearted. Your ambition is to display the glory of God and demonstrate His Kingdom in the world of education. Amid the darkness, you remain a light of hope. Though you are not exempt from many troubles, you are encouraged because Jesus Christ has overcome this world, including the world of education. You are a champion! You, too, have defeated this world and have achieved the victory through your faith. So today, you do not pray from a place of defeat, but from victory.
Prayer:
Abba Father, I thank you for the victory. I have been pressed on every side by many troubles, but I have not been defeated. I have overcome all the challenges of transforming this system of education. My classroom is not the same. My school is not the same. Educational policies and legislation have changed. I have changed because the light of your glory shines brightly through me. Thank you for transforming the educational system. In Jesus’ name, amen.
